The2023 Florida Cup was the ninth edition of theFlorida Cup, afriendlyassociation football tournament played in the United States. It was contested from July 16 to 23, 2022. For the second year, the tournament was not a true friendly cup competition but rather a series of friendlies referred to as theFC Series.[1]
The main FC Series match featured English clubChelsea against Welsh clubWrexham atKenan Stadium inChapel Hill, North Carolina. The Florida Cup also served as local host of the Soccer Champions Tour match between Italian clubJuventus and Spanish clubReal Madrid playing inOrlando, Florida. Chelsea defeated Wrexham by a score of 5–0, and Juventus defeated Real Madrid 3–1.
