The2023–24 Toledo Rockets men's basketball team represented theUniversity of Toledo during the2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Rockets, led by 14th-year head coachTod Kowalczyk, played their home games atSavage Arena inToledo, Ohio, as members of theMid-American Conference (MAC).[1][2] They finished the season 20–12, 14–4 inMAC play, to win their fourth straight regular-season MAC championship. They were upset byKent State in the quarterfinals of theMAC tournament.[3][4] Toledo was not selected for theNational Invitation Tournament and declined to participate in theCollege Basketball Invitational and theCollegeInsider.com tournament.[5]

Previous season

TheRockets finished 27–8 and won their third straight regular-season championship with a 16–2 record inMAC play.[6][7] They defeatedMiami andOhio in the first two rounds of theMAC tournament before losing toKent State in the final.[8][9][10] As a regular-season champion who did not win their conference tournament, they received an automatic bid to theNational Invitation Tournament, where they lost toMichigan in the first round.[11]
