The2023–24 Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team representedDuke University during the2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Blue Devils were led by second year head coachJon Scheyer. The Blue Devils played their home games atCameron Indoor Stadium inDurham, North Carolina, as a member of theAtlantic Coast Conference.

The Blue Devils started the season ranked second in the nation and dominatedDartmouth in their season opener. The schedule became more difficult as they lost by four points to twelfth-rankedArizona. They followed the loss with a defeat of eighteenth-rankedMichigan State in theChampions Classic. They went on to win three straight games before losing atArkansas in theACC–SEC Challenge. They were defeated byGeorgia Tech by four-points in their ACC opener. After back-to-back defeats, the Blue Devils went on to win eight straight games. This included wins over tenth-rankedBaylor and a defeat over Georgia Tech to avenge the previous loss. The winning streak was broken with a four-point loss toPittsburgh. They won their next three games before arivalry matchup withNorth Carolina. North Carolina won by nine-points, but the Blue Devils would win their next five straight games. Duke lost two of its last five games, with one of the losses coming at in-state rivalWake Forest and the other being a final day loss to North Carolina.

The Blue Devils finished the season 27–9 and 15–5 inACC play to finish in second place. As the second seed in theACC tournament, they earned a bye to the Quarterfinals where they were upset by in-state rival and tenth-seedNC State. They received an at-large bid to the2024 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament where they were the 4th seed in theSouth Region. They facedVermont in the First Round. They won this matchup to move onto the round of 32, where they routed 12th seedJames Madison. Duke then faced the number one seed,Houston, whom they defeated 54–51, advancing to the Elite Eight for the first time under head coach Jon Scheyer. There they were upset by 11th-seeded and ACC rival NC State to end their season.

TheBlue Devils finished the2022–23 season 27–9, 14–6 inACC play to finish a three-way tie for third place. As the No. 4 seed in theACC tournament, they defeatedPittsburgh,Miami, andVirginia to win the tournament championship. The championship was their 22ndACC tournament victory in program history. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to theNCAA tournament as the No. 5 seed in the East region. There they defeatedOral Roberts before being losing in the second round toTennessee.
