The2022 Kansas Attorney General election took place on November 8, 2022, to elect theAttorney General ofKansas. IncumbentRepublican Attorney GeneralDerek Schmidt announced he would retire torun for governor.[1] The Republican nominee was former Kansas Secretary of StateKris Kobach, and the Democratic nominee was former police officer, prosecutor, and state securities regulator, Chris Mann. Kobach narrowly won, taking 50.80% of the general election vote to Mann's 49.20%.[2][3]
