The2022 Illinois Secretary of State election was held on November 8, 2022, to elect the nextIllinois Secretary of State.IncumbentDemocratJesse White did not seek re-election to a seventh term.Alexi Giannoulias, a formerstate treasurer, won the open seat.[1]
The primaries and general elections coincided with those for federalcongressional races, thestate's U.S. Senate race, and those for other state offices. The election was part of the2022 Illinois elections.
Theprimary election was held on June 28.[2] The general election was held on November 8, 2022.
