The2022–23 season was the 121st season in the existence ofAFC Bournemouth. It was the club's first campaign back in thePremier League since2019–20, following promotion in theprevious season, making it their sixth season in the top flight overall. In addition to thedomestic league, they also participated in theFA Cup and theEFL Cup.

Pre-season and friendlies

The Cherries announced their first pre-season friendly on June 2, againstReal Sociedad.[57] A second announcement was made twelve days later, againstBristol City.[58] A pre-season training camp inPortugal, along with two matches againstSheffield Wednesday andBraga was also confirmed.[59]
