The2021 London ePrix (formally the2021 Heineken London E-Prix) was a pair ofFormula Eelectric car races held in and around theExCeL London centre in theRoyal Docks area of theLondonborough ofNewham on 24 and 25 July 2021. The circuit is designed as an indoor-outdoor venue, combining the ExCeL facilities and the surrounding public roads at theRoyal Victoria Dock.[1] It marked the twelfth and thirteenth rounds of the2020–21 Formula E season, as well as the third running of theevent, and the first since it was last held in2016 atBattersea Park.
The first race was won byJake Dennis, withNyck de Vries andAlex Lynn rounding out the podium.[2]Alex Lynn took his maiden Formula E victory in the second race, finishing ahead ofNyck de Vries andMitch Evans, as original race winnerLucas di Grassi was disqualified for failing to serve a drive-through penalty.[3]
This result left 18 drivers in contention for the World Championship coming into the final two races of the season atBerlin.
