The2021–22 Danish 1st Division (known as theNordicBet Liga due to sponsorship byNordicBet) marked the 26th season of the league operating as the second tier of Danish football and the 82nd season overall under the1st Division name. The league is governed by theDanish Football Association (DBU).
Lyngby Boldklub andAC Horsens finished the2020–21 season of the Superliga in 11th and 12th place, respectively, and were relegated to the 1st Division. They replacedViborg FF andSilkeborg IF, who were promoted to the2021–22 Danish Superliga.
Nykøbing FC andJammerbugt FC won promotion from the2020–21 Danish 2nd Divisions. They replacedKolding IF andSkive IK.
