The2020 West Virginia State Treasurer election was held on November 3, 2020, to elect thestate treasurer of West Virginia. IncumbentDemocratic treasurerJohn Perdue lost re-election to a seventh term byRepublican nominee, former state delegateRiley Moore. Primary elections were held on June 9. Perdue and Moore both won their primaries unopposed.
This was the first time since W. S. Johnson's victory in 1928 that a Republican was elected to the state treasures office.[1]
