The2019 Mississippi State Senate election was held on November 5, 2019, to determine which party would control theMississippi State Senate for the following four years in the2020–2024 Mississippi Legislature. All 52 seats in theMississippi State Senate were up for election and the primary occurred on August 6, 2019. Prior to the election, 33 seats were held byRepublicans and 19 seats were held byDemocrats. The general election saw Republicans expand their majority in the State Senate by 3 seats.[1][2]
