It was won for the fourth time byPhilippe Gilbert (Quick-Step Floors), defeatingTeam Sky'sMichał Kwiatkowski in a two-up sprint finish.[3]Michael Albasini fromOrica–Scott completed the podium, leading home a small group ten seconds in arrears of the lead duo.[4] Gilbert's win, coupled with a win two weeks earlier at theTour of Flanders, made him the third rider to win both races in the same year – afterEddy Merckx andJan Raas.[5]
