The2017–18 Temple Owls basketball team representedTemple University during the2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Owls, led by 12th-year head coachFran Dunphy, played their home games at theLiacouras Center inPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania as members theAmerican Athletic Conference. They finished the season 17–16, 8–10 inAAC play to finish in seventh place. In theAAC tournament, they defeatedTulane before losing toWichita State in the quarterfinals. They received a bid to theNational Invitation Tournament where they lost toPenn State in the first round.

TheOwls finished the2016–17 season 16–16, 7–11 inAAC play to finish in eighth place. They lost in the first round of theAAC tournament toEast Carolina.[1]
