The2017–18 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's basketball team represented theGeorgia Institute of Technology during the2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by second-year head coachJosh Pastner and played their home games atHank McCamish Pavilion as members of theAtlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 13–19, 6–12 in ACC play to finish in 13th place. They lost in the first round of theACC tournament toBoston College.

Previous season

TheYellow Jackets finished the2016–17 season 21–16, 8–10 inACC play to finish in 11th place. They lost in the first round of theACC tournament toPittsburgh.[1] The Yellow Jackets received an invitation to theNational Invitation Tournament where they defeatedIndiana,[2]Belmont,[3] andOle Miss to advance to the semifinals atMadison Square Garden.[4] At MSG, they defeatedCal State Bakersfield[5] before losing in the championship game toTCU.[6][7][8]
