The2017–18 Azerbaijan Premier League was the 26th season of theAzerbaijan Premier League. The season began on 11 August 2017 and ended on 19 May 2018.
Although unconfirmed byUEFA, it was expected that the winners of the league this season would earn a spot in thefirst qualifying round of the2018–19 UEFA Champions League, and the second and third placed clubs would earn a place in thefirst qualifying round of the2018–19 UEFA Europa League.[2]
Qarabağ were the defending champions, who retained the title by winning the championship for the fifth consecutive year.[3]
Shuvalan was relegated at the conclusion of the previous season.[3]Sabail were promoted and participated in the Premier League this season.[4]
