The2016 Tottori earthquake (鳥取県中部地震,Tottori-ken Chūbu Jishin)[6] is anearthquake that occurred in centralTottori Prefecture inJapan on October 21, 2016.[7][8][9] It measured 6.2 on themoment magnitude scale.[10][11] The earthquake left 32 people injured.[12]

The shock had a maximum intensity of VIII(Severe), and it had a maximumJMA intensity ofShindo 6− (Kurayoshi,Yurihama andHokuei).[13][14]
