The2016 San Francisco Board of Supervisors elections occurred on November 8, 2016. Six of the eleven seats of theSan FranciscoBoard of Supervisors were contested in this election. Three incumbents were termed out of office and three ran for reelection.
Municipal elections inCalifornia are officially non-partisan, though most candidates in San Francisco do receive funding and support from various political parties. The election was held usingranked-choice voting.

This district consists of theRichmond. Incumbent supervisorEric Mar could not seek re-election due to term limits.[1]
