The2016 Massachusetts Senate election took place on November 8, 2016, to elect members of theMassachusetts Senate.Massachusetts voters elected all 40 members of theState Senate to serve two-year terms in theMassachusetts General Court. The election coincided withUnited States national elections and Massachusetts state elections, includingU.S. House,U.S. President, andMassachusetts House.

Democrats retained all 34 of their seats after the election.
