The2016Belarusian Premier League was the 26th season of top-tierfootball inBelarus. The season began on 1 April 2016 and concluded on 27 November 2016.BATE Borisov were the defending champions, having won their 12th league titlelast year; they successfully defended their title this season.

Three best teams of2015 First League (Isloch Minsk Raion,Gorodeya andKrumkachy Minsk) were promoted to the league, which was expanded from 14 to 16 clubs.

The last-placed team of 2015 Premier League,Gomel, were relegated.
