On election day, 4 November 2014,Republican nomineeCasey Cagle won re-election by a margin of 403,948 votes against his opponentDemocratic nomineeConnie Stokes, thereby retaining Republican control over the office of lieutenant governor. Cagle was sworn in for his third term on 12 January 2015.[2]
