The game was contested by the winners of the previous season'sLiga I andCupa României competitions,Steaua București andPetrolul Ploiești, respectively. It was played at theArena Națională inBucharest, on 10 July 2013.
Steaua București won the trophy by scoring three goals, while Petrolul Ploiești did not score. 29,459 people attended the match.[1]
