The2010 Minnesota Golden Gophers football team represented theUniversity of Minnesota in the2010college football season. The Golden Gophers are members of theBig Ten Conference and played their home games atTCF Bank Stadium. They were led by fourth-year head coachTim Brewster until his firing on October 17, 2010, the result of 1–6 start. Co-offensive coordinatorJeff Horton was tapped as interim head coach for the remainder of the season.[4] The Golden Gophers finished the season 3–9, 2–6 in Big Ten play.

The measures taken by the school included vacating all the Buckeyes' wins from last season, a year in which Ohio State captured a record-tying sixth straight Big Ten title and won an unprecedented seventh straight game over Michigan.
