The2009 German Supercup, known as theVolkswagen SuperCup for sponsorship reasons, was an unofficial edition of theGerman Supercup, afootball match contested by the winners of the previous season'sBundesliga andDFB-Pokal competitions.

The match was played at theVolkswagen Arena inWolfsburg, and was contested by2008–09 Bundesliga winnersVfL Wolfsburg, and2008–09 DFB-Pokal winnersWerder Bremen. Bremen won the match 2–1 to claim the unofficial title.[1]
