The2008 Baltimore Orioles season was the 108th season inBaltimore Orioles franchise history, the 55th inBaltimore, and the 17th atOriole Park at Camden Yards.

The Orioles entered the 2008 season led byDave Trembley, now starting his first full season as manager. President of Baseball OperationsAndy MacPhail continued the rebuilding process. SuperstarsMiguel Tejada andÉrik Bédard were traded for younger talent and there were talks ofBrian Roberts, but he was not traded.

TheBaltimore Orioles posted a record of 68–93 and finished in last place in theAL East for the first time since the1988 season.

CloserChris Ray missed the entire season afterTommy John surgery, and so did his replacementDanys Báez. Left-handerGeorge Sherrill, acquired from theMariners, was named the team's closer for the 2008 season and became the lone representative for the2008 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, whileJeremy Guthrie was theOpening Daystarter after an impressive rookie season and several solidspring training outings.
