The2005 Grambling State Tigers football team representedGrambling State University as a member of theSouthwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) during the2005 NCAA Division I-AA football season. Led by second-year head coachMelvin Spears, the Tigers compiled an overall record of 11–1 and a mark of 9–0 in conference play, and finished as both SWAC and black college national champion.[1]
