The2005 AIG Japan Open Tennis Championships was atennis tournament played on outdoorhard courts. It was the 32nd edition of the event known that year as theAIG Japan Open Tennis Championships, and was part of theInternational Series Gold of the2005 ATP Tour, and of theTier III Series of the2005 WTA Tour. Both the men's and the women's events took place at theAriake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan, from 3 October through 9 October 2005.Wesley Moodie andNicole Vaidišová won the singles titles.
