The2004 Premier League speedway season was the second division ofspeedway in theUnited Kingdom and governed by theSpeedway Control Board (SCB), in conjunction with theBritish Speedway Promoters' Association (BSPA).[1]
The League consisted of 15 teams for the 2004 season after theSwindon Robins andArena Essex Hammers elected to compete in theElite League and the closure of theTrelawny Tigers.[2]
The League was run on a standard format with no play-offs and was won byHull Vikings.[3]

ThePremier League Pairs Championship was held atSmallmead Stadium on 20 June. The event was won by Reading (Danny Bird &Phil Morris) who beat Stoke (Paul Pickering &Alan Mogridge) in the final.[11][12]
