2003 Liverpool City Council election

← 20021 May 2003 (2003-05-01)2004 →

34 seats were up for election (one third): one seat for each of the 33 wards plus one by-election
50 seats needed for a majority

Elections toLiverpool City Council were held on 1 May 2003. One third of the council was up for election plus one by-election, and theLiberal Democrat party kept overall control of the council.[1] Overall turnout was 21.7%.
