2002 Liverpool City Council election

← 20002 May 2002 (2002-05-02)2003 →

35 seats were up for election (one third): one seat for each of the 33 wards plus 2 by-elections
50 seats needed for a majority

Elections toLiverpool City Council were held on 2 May 2002. One third of the council was up for election and theLiberal Democrat party kept overall control of the council.[1]
