The2001 Florida State Seminoles football team represented theFlorida State University as a member of theAtlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the2001 NCAA Division I-A football season. Led by 26th-year head coachBobby Bowden, the Seminoles compiled an overall record of 8–4 with a mark of 6–2 in conference play, placing second in the ACC. Florida State was invited to theGator Bowl, where the Seminoles defeatedVirginia Tech. The team played home games atDoak Campbell Stadium inTallahassee, Florida.
