The1999–2000 season was the 98th in the history of theWestern Football League.
The league champions for the fifth time in their history (and the second season running) wereTaunton Town, but runners-upMangotsfield United took promotion to theSouthern League. The champions of Division One wereDevizes Town after they finished the season unbeaten.[1]
The Premier Division was reduced from 20 clubs to 19 afterTiverton Town were promoted to theSouthern League, andCalne Town andKeynsham Town were relegated to the First Division. Two clubs joined:
