The1998 Davidoff Swiss Indoors was atennis tournament played onindoor hard courts. It was the 29th edition of the event known that year as theDavidoff Swiss Indoors, and was part of theWorld Series of the1998 ATP Tour. It took place at theSt. Jakobshalle inBasel, Switzerland, from 5 October until 11 October 1998.
Tim Henman andMarc Rosset were the defending champions, but Henman did not compete this year in order to focus on the singles tournament. Rosset teamed up withNicolas Kiefer and lost in the first round to tournament winnersOlivier Delaître andFabrice Santoro.
Delaître and Santoro won the title by defeatingPiet Norval andKevin Ullyett 6–3, 7–6 in the final.[2]
