A non-bindingreferendum on membership for theEuropean Union was held inSweden on 13 November 1994.^[1] 53% of voters voted in favour, with a turnout of 83%.^[1]

Campaign

TheSocial Democrats,Centre Party, theChristian Democrats,Moderates and theLiberal People's Party officially supported European Union membership, while theLeft Party and theGreen Party were opposed.
