The1994 Maryland House of Delegates elections were held on November 8, 1994, as part of the1994 United States elections, including the1994 Maryland gubernatorial election. All 141 of Maryland's state delegates were up for reelection.
Republicans tied themselves to the tax-cutting debate surrounding the gubernatorial election betweenPrince George's County ExecutiveParris Glendening and House Minority LeaderEllen Sauerbrey, which led to the party gaining 17 seats from the Democrats.[1][2] This strategy was especially effective in Anne Arundel, Howard, and Montgomery counties, where the party saw most of its gains.[3][4]
