The1993 Penn State Nittany Lions football team represented thePennsylvania State University as a member of theBig Ten Conference during the1993 NCAA Division I-A football season. Led by 28th-year head coachJoe Paterno, the Nittany Lions compiled an overall record of 10–2 with a mark of 6–2 in conference play, placing third in the Big Ten. Penn State was invited to theFlorida Citrus Bowl, where the Nittany Lions defeatedTennessee. The team played home games atBeaver Stadium inUniversity Park, Pennsylvania.

This was Penn State's first season as a member of the Big Ten.[1] As a result, Penn State played their first ever games against Minnesota,[2] Michigan,[3] Indiana,[4] and Northwestern.[5]
