The1992 NCAA Division III football season, part of thecollege football season organized by theNCAA at theDivision III level in theUnited States, began in August 1992, and concluded with theNCAA Division III Football Championship, also known as the Stagg Bowl, in December 1992 atHawkins Stadium inBradenton, Florida. TheWisconsin–La Crosse Eagles won their first Division III championship by defeating theWashington & Jefferson Presidents, 16−12.[1]

The1992 NCAA Division III Football Championship playoffs were the 20th annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men'sNCAA Division III college football. The championship Stagg Bowl game was held atHawkins Stadium inBradenton, Florida for the third, and final, time. Like the previous seven tournaments, this year's bracket featured sixteen teams.[2]
