The1990 European Cup final was afootball match betweenAC Milan of Italy andBenfica of Portugal, played on 23 May 1990 at thePraterstadion inVienna, Austria. The winning goal came in the 68th minute for Milan, whenFrank Rijkaard ran through the opposing defence and scored the only goal of the match.[1][2]

Milan were the last club untilReal Madrid in2017 to successfully defend their title.
