The1988Pro Bowl was theNFL's 38th annualall-star game which featured the outstanding performers from the1987 season. The game was played on Sunday, February 7, 1988, atAloha Stadium inHonolulu, Hawaii before a crowd of 50,113.[1] The final score wasAFC 15,NFC 6.[2]

Marty Schottenheimer of theCleveland Browns led theAFC team against anNFC team coached byMinnesota Vikings head coachJerry Burns.[3] The referee wasDick Hantak.[1]

Bruce Smith of theBuffalo Bills was named the game'sMVP.[2] Players on the winning AFC team received $10,000 apiece while the NFC participants each took home $5,000.[4]
