The1988NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships were contested in March 1988 at theIndiana University Natatorium inIndianapolis, Indiana at the 65th annualNCAA-sanctioned swim meet to determine the team and individual national champions ofDivision I men's collegiateswimming anddiving in theUnited States. The men's and women's titles would not be held at the same site until2006.
Texas topped the team standings, 54.5 points ahead of three-time defending championsStanford. It was the Longhorns' second title and the second for coachEddie Reese.
