The1989 Challenge Cup was the 88th staging ofrugby league's oldest knockout competition, theChallenge Cup. Known as theSilk Cut Challenge Cup for sponsorship reasons, the final was contested byWigan andSt. Helens atWembley. Wigan won the match 27–0.
