The1986 French Open was atennis tournament that took place on the outdoorclay courts at theStade Roland Garros in Paris, France. The tournament was held from 26 May until 8 June. It was the 90th staging of theFrench Open, and the firstGrand Slam tennis event of 1986.[6][7]

The event was part of the1986 Nabisco Grand Prix and1986 Virginia Slims World Championship Series.[1]

  • It was Lendl's 6th title of the year, and his 59th overall. It was his 3rd career Grand Slam title, and his 2nd French Open title.
