The1984 United States Senate election in Minnesota was held on November 6, 1984. Incumbent Republican U.S. SenatorRudy Boschwitz defeated Democratic challengerJoan Growe.

Boschwitz's victory coincided with PresidentRonald Reagan's nationwide landslide in the concurrentpresidential election in which he defeatedWalter Mondale, a Minnesota native, despite Mondale narrowly winning the state.This election was the only time since1930 in which the incumbent Republican Senator was re-elected for this seat.
