The1984–85Women's IHF Cup was the fourth edition of the competition. As eighteen teams took part in the competition instead of theprevious edition's twelve, withBulgaria andTurkey making their debut, the Round of 16 was reinstated.[1]Vorwärts Frankfurt defeatedVasas Budapest in the final to become the firstEast German club to win the trophy.[2]
