Chuck Noll of thePittsburgh Steelers led theAFC team against anNFC team coached byLos Angeles Rams head coachChuck Knox.[1] The referee wasChuck Heberling.[1]

Mel Blount of thePittsburgh Steelers was named the game'sMost Valuable Player.[2] Players on the winning AFC team received $2,000 apiece while the NFC participants each took home $1,500.[3]
