The1977 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship was the 46th staging of theAll-Ireland Minor Football Championship, theGaelic Athletic Association's premierinter-countyGaelic football tournament for boys under the age of 18.
Galway entered the championship asdefending champions, however, they were defeated in the Munster Championship.
On 25 September 1977,Down won the championship following a 2–6 to 0–4 defeat ofMeath in the All-Ireland final. This was their first All-Ireland title.[1]
