The1977–78 Biathlon World Cup was a multi-race tournament over a season ofbiathlon, organised by the UIPMB (Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne et Biathlon). The season started on 13 January 1978 inRuhpolding,West Germany, and ended in April 1978 inSodankylä,Finland. It was the first ever season of theBiathlon World Cup, and it was only held for men.
