The first episode ofThe Tom & Jerry Show airs, which isTom and Jerry's first television show. This show gained negative attention by fans of the theatrical shorts from the golden era due to the result that the duo are shown as friends as slapstick violence were grounded by theSeal of Good Practices at the time. This cartoon ended after one season while regarding these issues.[18]
