The1973 U.S. Clay Court Championships was a combined men's and women'stennis tournament held at theWoodstock Country Club inIndianapolis in the United States and played on outdoorclay courts. It was part of the men'sGrand Prix and women'sInternational Grand Prix. It was the fifth edition of thetournament and was held from August 13 through August 19, 1973. Second-seededManuel Orantes won the men's singles title and accompanying $16,000 prize money whileChris Evert took the women's title and the $6,000 first prize.[3][4][5][6]
