It was part of the men'sGrand Prix and women'sInternational Grand Prix. It was the fifth edition of thetournament and was held from August 13 through August 19, 1973. Second-seededManuel Orantes won the men's singles title and accompanying $16,000 prize money whileChris Evert took the women's title and the $6,000 first prize.[3][4][5][6]
