The1970 Montana Grizzlies football team represented theUniversity of Montana in the1970 NCAA College Division football season as a member of theBig Sky Conference (Big Sky). The Grizzlies were led by fourth-year head coachJack Swarthout and played their home games atDornblaser Field.

Similar to theprevious season, Montana won all ten games in the regular season (5–0 Big Sky, champions),[2][3][4] but lost toNorth Dakota State in theCamellia Bowl inSacramento in December.[5] New conference memberNorthern Arizona was played this season, but notBoise State.

Defensive tackle Larry Miller was a third-team selection on theLittle All-America team.[6]
