The1963 Wichita Shockers football team was anAmerican football team that represented Wichita University (now known asWichita State University) as a member of theMissouri Valley Conference during the1963 NCAA University Division football season. In its second season under head coachMarcelino Huerta, the Shockers compiled an overall record of 7–2 record with a mark of 3–1 in conference play, sharing the MVC title withCincinnati, and outscored opponents 233 to 117.[1] The team played home games at Veterans Field, now known asCessna Stadium, inWichita, Kansas.

Pro Football Hall of Fame coachBill Parcells was a seniorlinebacker on the team.
