The1963 Los Angeles Dodgers season was the 74th season for theLos Angeles Dodgers franchise inMajor League Baseball (MLB), their 6th season inLos Angeles,California, and their 2nd season playing their home games atDodger Stadium inLos Angeles California. The Dodgers were led by pitcherSandy Koufax, who won both theCy Young Award and theMost Valuable Player Award. The team went 99–63 to win theNational League title by six games over the runner-upSt. Louis Cardinals and beat theNew York Yankees in four games to win theWorld Series, marking the first time that the Yankees were ever swept in the postseason.
